By downloading, installing, or using the Rays mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Important: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rays Health Technologies LLC ("Rays," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms in the App and update the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Service Description
Rays is a vitamin D optimization app that provides personalized recommendations for sun exposure based on your individual profile, location, and environmental conditions. Our service includes:

3. Eligibility
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rays. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

- • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- • You must have a valid email address for account verification
- • You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- • You must not be prohibited from using the service under any applicable law
4. User Accounts
Account Creation
You may use Rays initially without creating an account (anonymous trial). To access premium features and maintain your data long-term, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and other required information.
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- • All activities that occur under your account
- • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- • Keeping your account information accurate and up-to-date
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed, though anonymized usage data may be retained for service improvement as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Subscription & Billing
Free Trial
New users receive a 3-day free trial with access to all premium features. No payment information is required during the trial. To continue using premium features after the trial, you must subscribe to a paid plan.

$4.99 per month, billed monthly
Annual Plan
$19.99 per year, billed annually
Billing Terms
- • Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- • Billing begins immediately upon subscription
- • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- • You can cancel anytime through your app store account settings
- • Refunds are governed by Apple and Google's respective refund policies
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. Your account will then revert to the free tier. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of subscription periods.
6. User Conduct
You agree to use Rays responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:
Prohibited Uses
- • Use the App for any illegal purpose
- • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App
- • Create false accounts or impersonate others
- • Interfere with other users' use of the App
- • Distribute malware or harmful content
Data Use Restrictions
- • Do not scrape or extract data from the App
- • Do not share account credentials with others
- • Do not circumvent subscription requirements
- • Do not use the App to harm yourself or others
- • Do not provide false health information
Enforcement
Violations of these conduct rules may result in account suspension or termination. We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including cooperation with law enforcement.
7. Intellectual Property
Our Rights
Rays and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by Rays Health Technologies LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes but is not limited to:
- • The Rays mobile application and its code
- • Vitamin D calculation algorithms and outdoor detection technology
- • App design, user interface, and user experience
- • Trademarks, logos, and brand elements
- • Documentation, guides, and educational content
Your Rights
You retain ownership of any personal information you provide to Rays. You grant us a limited license to use this information to provide and improve our services as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time.
License to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Rays for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not permit you to resell, distribute, or create derivative works.

IMPORTANT: Rays is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app provides lifestyle recommendations for vitamin D optimization based on scientific research, but these are not substitutes for professional medical advice.

Rays is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

- • Achievement of specific health outcomes
9. Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rays Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or health outcomes, arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to Rays shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Specific Disclaimers
- • We are not responsible for health outcomes from following app recommendations
- • We are not liable for device sensor inaccuracies or outdoor detection errors
- • We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions (weather data, app stores)
- • We are not liable for data loss due to device issues or user error
10. Termination
Termination by You
You may stop using Rays at any time by deleting the app and canceling your subscription through your app store. You may also delete your account through the app settings.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to Rays if:
- • You violate these Terms of Service
- • You engage in fraudulent activity
- • Your account remains inactive for an extended period
- • We discontinue the service (with 30 days notice)
- • Required by law or legal process
Effects of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use Rays ceases immediately. Your personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.
11. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before pursuing formal dispute resolution, please contact us to discuss your concerns. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
Mandatory Arbitration
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: You and Rays agree that any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of Rays will be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court.
- • Arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA)
- • Arbitration will take place in the county where you reside
- • You may represent yourself or hire an attorney
- • The arbitrator's decision is final and binding
Exceptions to Arbitration
The following disputes are not subject to arbitration and may be brought in court:
- • Small claims court cases (disputes under $10,000)
- • Intellectual property disputes
- • Injunctive relief for terms violations
Class Action Waiver
You agree that disputes must be brought individually and not as part of a class action, representative action, or mass action. This waiver applies to arbitration and court proceedings.
13. General Provisions
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, government actions, or technical failures of third-party services.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any court proceedings (where permitted) will take place in Delaware.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rays regarding your use of the App. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to any party, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Rays.
